I left August 2nd on my around the country trip.

9000 miles, 33 days, all solo.

Went to Sturgis, Beartooth Pass, PCH, across the Golden Gate Bridge, through Death Valley at mid day on the hottest day of the year. Saw mountains and rivers and more State and National parks than I can count. Met all kinds of people along the way.

Met 2 other people that were on their own experience.

And yea, it changes the way you think about things.

Congrats on your trip.

Awesome trip! Solo cross country trips are truly cathartic. Hope you can do it again.

Nice photos, many of them brought memories from rides I have done there also. I am planning a sea to shining sea ride next summer. 10 weeks off with nothing better to do than ride. Left side Portland to the right side Portland then south and west.

That is just epic! What I would not give to be able to take that much time off and just wander! Well done...and thank you for the great pictures!

Wow, looks like a great ride. I have to agree, CA 1 and Glacier have to be some of the best scenery anywhere.

I've ridden cross country several times and seen some beautiful places, but never had enough time to just stop and spend more than a day or two in the best spots.

Done it solo and with the wife, and enjoyed it both ways.

I will be retiring next spring, and intend to spend the first year of retirement just riding around the country, with no schedule and no timetable. Stop for a day or a week if we feel like it whenever we find a nice spot. Take that interesting looking side road, even if we don't know where it goes. Can't wait!
