Yeah I camp in state and federal parks several times per year and have only had a ranger come into our camp once. That might have been due to about 10 of us being loud as hell until about 2:00 AM. Didn't say anything about the beer though. Like someone else said though, it only takes one ***** to ruin an evening.

Ay least in the state parks in PA I have camped there has been an interesting trend,

The Rangers USED, to patrol in their vehicles at night. Not an issue if a group is rowdy and/or drunk, as a vehicle at that point to the crowds predicament is to late.

NOW, they patrol at night on foot. Sneaky way to catch a quiet beer out in the open, at least from my experience.

Rendell wants that fine money,

I would like to put my .02 in, I'm leaving Fri to the Grand Canyon for the 4th time in the last yr and a half.
I just get my 500-600 miles in ea day then search via GPS for campgrounds or RV parks and pull right in.
They always have the showers and electric at the site for my little space fan heater (a must) that I keep in the tent.
Never pay any more than 15-25 dollars.
In fact most of the time the RV'ers usually chat me up and offer a cup of coffee to me too.
Dont worry just ride till your done ea day and there's always a RV park near by.
Ride safe
