If you did this ride in June the days would be longer and you would have more time each day to ride more. But we wanted to go in Sept when the high temps were not as bad so we had to settle for shorter days and less riding time each day.

Awesome, hoping to something similar next Summer.
I'm baffled to think of all those pioneers that crossed this country to get to the great west. We take the land for granted because we have roads that guide us through and around as necessary for our pleasure. They had to get through and around for survival.
Must've been hell!

I live in Flagstaff AZ and my wife and I always try to come through Utah on our road trips,never get tired of it.Just came through there on the way back from Portland OR.
Rode the Grand Staircase through Escalante,awsome. Also met "The Desert Doctor"
fine gentleman that roams the hwys around Escalante on his well traveled Harley.40 years M/C repair experience.Did'nt require his services,but great to chat with.
