What an opportunity!

I'm heading over there Friday morning. Leaving Lake Shasta- Redding area, going East towards Mt. Lassen on Hwy 44, just South of Mt. Lassen to the town of Shingletown and over to the town of Manton, Lanes Valley Road to catch Hwy 32, over to Lake Almanor and pick up Hwy 89 in Greenville. Hwy 89 all the way to Truckee and hwy 80 East to Reno. Or, go through Truckee into North Lake Tahoe, up and over Mt Rose Hwy-Elev 8000' + and down into Reno. Absolutely beautiful!

If your leaving that late in the week, I'll ride in back.

Just rode that country from Flagstaff AZ.to Portland OR.and back couple weeks ago.I rode the Oregon Coast. Redding, CA was 108 degrees but hwy 44 to Susanville cooled right down and was a great stretch of road. One of the motel 6's in Redding is next door to the HD dealership.

Hope to be in Kfalls Friday night if the weather cooperates and then Saturday down 99 to 89 then 44 into Susanville then 395 to Minden. Sunday to Lake Tahoe and around that area with a buddy for 2 days and Tuesday and Wednesday we are in Yosemite. street vibrations on Thursday and Friday and then headed home on Saturday morning...sure seems short for 9 days...

In Klammath Falls, consider staying at the Maverick Motel. It is an older property, but quiet and very reasonably priced. Better yet, there is a Brew pub right at the end of the motel parking lot! If you like IPAs, their "Crystal Springs IPA" was quite nice.
