planned a late trip to fayetteville arkansas for the bike blues and bbq sept.28 to oct.2 but having trouble finding a place to stay.if anyone knows of anything available i would really appreciate any info. thanks!
Could look for something in Fort Smith. Its about a hour to hour and half south.
Depending on what route you take. If you take the hour and half route ots some of the best riding around. I live in Fort Smith and I'm sure there will be plenty of us running back and forth all weekend.
As with any event like this, the hotels have really jacked up the price to stay.
I made my reservation back in Dec, glad I did, even then it was hard to find a place.

Any routes you highly suggest to ride?
Yeah Hwy 23 south out of Fayetteville is my favorite place to ride. I think its Hwy 52 or something like that that goes up around Beaver Lake. That is a nice ride as well. Give me a holler maybe we can link up for a ride. I'll be going up everyday.
Here is a picture of my cousin and I stopped on Hwy 23(The Pig Trail).Photo is from phone but you get the picture.
I just got a couple of rooms at the Cherokee Casino in Siloam Springs. The Hotel just opened in June and seems to be very nice, Oh yea, only $70 per night.
There are plenty of Hotels in the surrounding area. Check Bentonville, Rogers, Lowell, and Springdale too. All within about 20 minutes of Fayetteville and there are rally events in Rogers and Eureka Springs for B,B, and BBQ as well. Bentonville should have a ton of rooms available which usually go unbooked for weekends.
Thinking about going up for the weekend, whats the camping like? Is it sleeping bag weather with a tent or would a poncho liner be fine? None of my CVMA LA 6-1 guys are going that i know of but wouldn't mind linking up with the AR 7-2 crew if you guys are riding. It about a 7-8 hour ride from FT Polk and i'm off Fri,Sat,Sun with the wife out of town for the week so she gave me the "all okay" to go up.
