I've been to 20+, it's a great party. Not quite as big as Daytona Bike Week and not as long but still a good crowd.

I went in 2001 and once was plenty. Riding is not particularly scenic, lots of traffic (cars and bikes are mixed together) and once you've seen one bar and bought a tee shirt, you're seen em all. If they've cut it back to 3 days, there's a reason.

Wondering this myself, never been in October, but I'am going this year.I'am really wondering how the cops are with ticketing out of state bikes?Should I expect a ticket for my tall handlebars,or if I mind my own business and don't act stupid will cops look the other way?

They didn't cut it back, it's always been a short event. It was on it's way to 10 days before the recession hit and we will still get a lot of early birds but the City has "official" dates.

FL isn't particularly scenic as it is a flat peninsula of limestone and sand but there are nice rides, the Ormond Loop, the Nasa Loop, and the National Forest.

The cops don't care what state your tag is from, they will pull you over if you get out of line. And they enforce the horizontal tag law strictly.

You are absolutely right- I did a little research and the law changed back on June 16, 2009. Daytona was bad about stopping people for this when the law was in effect.

Biketoberfest is a lot of fun - plenty for everyone, just depends on what your into. Only Daytona city limits is 3 days - go up to Ormond and it's all week. Thats why moved up there from Main St.

Get off the big lines on the map and you'll descover some real FL.
"The Loop" Tomoka State Park Ormond Beac FL.

Come on down!
