Arizona probably has the best parts along with the museum in Kingman.

A friend and I are planning to join the group in Flagstaff and work our way back home. We're looking forward to it.

If you haven't done Kingman to Oatman, you're going to love it.

Best advice - bring a camera!

Lots of it are missing or unrideable. Do Route 66.com and there will be enough info for you to figure out where to ride it and where to take the interstate. Arizona and California have the best parts left.

Did it from AZ to IL in 06. Allotted enough days to look around and check everything out. Forgot my camera. I guess I will just have to do it again.

The section in AZ that was done in 1928 is a hoot to ride. The old ghost town at one end with the wild donkeys running around in Oatman AZ. to almost Kingman AZ is narrow and full of twisties.

I just got back from a trip where I was on RT66 in NM and TX. In Mclean TX I stopped by the Devils Rope ****** Wire Museum, the biggest ****** wire museum in the world I might add, where I was rather impressed with this museum. I actually learned something therre about ****** wire. In NM I stopped in Santa Rosa at the RT66 car museum that was well worth the $5 entry. They have a 56 El Camino there. It is a one of a kind for sale for $95K. They made it there the El Camino came out in 59. Enjoy your trip

I am doing the HOG Rt 66 ride leaving Chicago. I am riding alone, coming from Central Pa.I have been getting tips from several women who have done it , or that live close by, And besides the book they sent up I had already bought a couple from Amazon just thinking of this trip. If you are coming from the east coast somewhere maybe we could ride together for abit? Take care and ride safe, donna

Donna,
Send me a private message. I live in the Chicago area and would be happy to meet you once you get here. We're going to do part of the ride.
Kimberly
