trip to niagra falls

Finger lakes in NY is huge wine country many opportunities to sample the fruit of the vine. Lots of Bed & Breakfasts. Suggest you bring a passport as the Cnadian side has much to be appreciated and a totally different perspective. There is also casinos in the area (both sides) if you are of a mind to gamble.

Finger Lakes
Hi, my name is Chris and a buddy of mine and me are going to leave Columbus, OH on Thursday and head to the Finger Lakes Region. We plan on returning home on Sunday.
Can anyone share with me some good rides to take in the region? I am not really going for the wine tasting or education as much as I am going to just ride the bike.
Weather appears to look optimal for these 4 days and I want to take advantage of the time by riding the Harley and exploring the country side.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
And yes, our original plan was to be Sturgis but had to postpone until next year.
Thanks for your support and advice.

staying???
Don't stay on the canadian side, we went up 6 years ago, 35% tax added on top of regular taxes added to your bill.. Cost $ 96.00 to eat at a Denny's!!! They charged us for parking at the hotel( holiday inn) we stayed at!!! $8.00 A DAY!!! We found out the 35% tax was for advertising Niagra Falls vacations, because tourism has dropped over the years, they needed money to advertise so they whack you for it!!! Either stay in U.S. and go over each day to see stuff, or go into Canada farther north to get away from tourism taxes!! Lasy nite there we went north about 20 miles for dinner and it was reasonable.. GOOD LUCK!!! Mark

My brother lives down near you, in Jarrettsville MD. I like 34 up to Carlisle, and then 74 over the hill out of Carlisle, up to a couple miles of 75, to 322. Take 322 to State College & make sure you stop at # 1 Harley up near State College. Cool place. From there, do a Mapquest over to Dubois & then up 255 to 555 up through Benezette to see if you can see some elk. Then go over to 219 & take it all the way up to Buffalo & the falls.
