Default Rolla, Mo to Branson and Eureka Springs, AR

My brother in-law and I will be leaving Friday after work to head to Branson, MO and spend the night. Then on to Eureka Springs, AR on Saturday to ride the Pig Trail and to Magazine Mountain and whatever other roads we find to ride on. We will be staying in Eureka Springs on Saturday night and Sunday will head back towards home. I will be riding my 06 Sportster 1200C and he's on a 07 Road King Police Edition. I'm looking forward to getting away for the weekend and riding some new roads. Any advice from anyone in the area on other roads to ride would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most of the map's little gray roads in NW Arkansas are fun. Keep an eye on your fuel, sometimes a station can be 40 miles away when on these roads. We had a great time there this Spring. (Don't forget to hit the Walmart museum, in Bentonville )

43, 23, 21. 415. 7, are all good for riding.

The cafe in Jasper is a nice place to eat and relax.

try riding 21 north from Berryville to Blue Eye, then come back south on 311.

Wife and I just got back from there. Hwy 62, out by Beaver Lake, west of Eureka is a good ride. Hwy 23 North and South isn't bad either. We stayed at the Lookout Lodge and the accommodations were excellent. $89.00 a night for a suite with jacuzzi inside. Beware of Rapid Roberts gas station/convenience store. There was a guy working there that I would swear was dead if he wasn't walking around. Had nightmare about him later.

Bubba's BBQ is a MUST stop in Eureka. Best BBQ I've eaten in a very long time.

Don't be surprised by the hours that some shops keep. Kind of weird. One leather shop doesn't open on Tuesdays until 3pm, and closes at 8pm. And some places aren't even open on Mondays.

Thanks everybody for the good information. I'm looking forward to getting out of here and hitting the road. I'm just waiting for the call from my brother in-law saying he's off from work so we can leave.

If you get time ride up Mt. Nebo, just south of Russellville in Mt Nebo State Park. It's a very steep winding mountain road.

I forgot to post after I got back from the trip. It was great to get away and do nothing but ride. We had a great time and put about 800 miles on the bikes. We left Branson on Saturday morning and went to Harrison, AR. We then went to Mount Nebo, Magazine Mountain and into Rogers, AR. Sunday we went from Rogers to Eureka Springs and then to Kimberling City, MO and then to Branson and back home to the Rolla, MO, area. We took so many different roads I can't remember them all. I really liked the road going up Mount Nebo. Some very serious switchbacks and a whole lot of fun. Looking forward to the next trip, where ever it might take me.
