Default Trip pics from 2010 ride out west.

Left Toronto and rode west with the wife into Wyoming, Colorado,Arizona,Nevada,Utah and back home. Our favourite State to ride in is Colorado then we hit Monument Valley, Sedona, Vegas, Zion and back into Colorado. Had a rear spoked rim split riding(didn't hit anything) from Cortez to Ouray doing 65 mph...held on tight til i got it to the shoulder and got it towed to Durango to get fixed. The mechanic had never seen this happen before....but it all turned out good. Heading to Texas,New Mexico and Arizona next year.

Life is great.....we've done 3-4 week trips every year for the past 8 years....46 out of 50 States.

Great pics.

That portion of Route 66 is great. Loved Oatman.

By the way, is that your rim that broke? If so, what did you hit?

Didn't hit anything.....that is why the mechanics at Durango HD were so surprised...had a new tire put on at Zion HD the day before....put 700 miles on it and had to buy a new tire and used mag rim at the dealer....some people say spoked rims aren't the best for touring bikes riding two-up. I will buy a new mag for the front when i have to change the tire next time....

Wow. Well, I hope my spokes don't suffer the same fate - although my bike is probably significantly lighter than yours. It's a good thing no one was hurt.
