Im planning on leaving San Angelo, late thurs nt the 5'th, around midnite, and riding straight thru.

What are your plans?

 

i was going to leave thursday as well. i am working on a few options as a place to stay once i get there. any ideas?

 

Im camping, Iron Horse Campground.
Ive stayed here before its a good location and has showers,restrooms,bar, mom and pop cafe and the price is right!

 

If your tent camping you will have plenty of campgrounds to pick from. My opinion would be to find a campground that offers free bus shuttle to and from downtown Sturgis. Best time to ride and park your bike in downtown Sturgis is early in the morning (7-8am). One Eyed Jacks offer a breakfast buffet every morning during the rally as well as other establishments. A few days into the rally a lot of people are hung over and sleep in late awaiting the night time activities so the downtown area in the morning is not quite as crowded.
