Heading down to Idaho this weekend to escape this relentless rain we are getting and was looking for suggestions on roads I would not want to miss. Leaving Boise Monday and was planning on heading north into Montana, and Glacier Park.

 

I was going to suggest Hwy 20 out of Mountain Home to Idaho Falls, then up thru Montana (Yellowstone) to Glacier....but there's a huge wildfire on Hwy 20 towards Idaho Falls!

How about Hwy 95 north to Bonners Ferry, Hwy 2 to Kalispell, MT and up to Glacier? Beautiful country this time of year.

Not sure what highway but the one that goes thru hells canyon is beautiful

 

I like hwy 12 from Kooskia to LoLo.

I agree with this one. On my top 10 list!!! Tough to go wrong, anywhere along the Snake River...Hell's Canyon is good too!!!

 

I agree, that road going over Lolo Pass is great!

I'll be passing through Idaho the end of August. Planning on taking HWY 93 from Arco to Lolo and then HWY 12 over to Moscow. I'll be entering Idaho at Victor, coming from Grand Teton NP.
