Default Indiana - Ride with the Governor

Gov Mitch will be doing his annual "Ride with the Governor" on August 13-14. It will be an overnight trip but they haven't decided the route or place to stay overnight yet.

This is the ultimate escorted ride, riding all day through stop lights and towns and never putting your feet down except to take a break. The state police provide the escort. The Gov rides his Fatboy up front, but if you need to talk to him about something just catch him at one of the rest stops. Two years ago we road through southern Indiana and stopped at French Lick for the night. I'm guessing they had a couple hundred bikes on the ride. On the second day, they had a great pig roast out on a farm in Washington. I hope they go south again this year. Try to make it, it is a great ride!

The Gov's Fatboy,

The General of the Indiana National Guard showed up at the pig roast in this. He didn't ride a bike, but his ride had loud pipes.

Thanks for clarifying that, I didn't think you meant I was the crook. LOL

The ride was a great ride and the pig roast was very good also. You'll be missing out on a nice ride and food (if they do the pig roast again). I'm not a fan of his either, but I like the ride and riding so far being escorted makes the ride even better. Also, the ride is to support the families with members serving the National Guard. A good cause.

Sounds like something we should plan over here in Illinois. We could do the courthouse/prison tour and visit most of our living ex governors while we are out that day...............
