Default Estes Park & Big Thompson Canyon lodging

A group of about 8 or 10 of us are planning a trip to Colorado in the Big Thompson Canyon - Estes Park area and are looking for some reasonably priced lodging in that area. Any help or recomendations would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

Check this place out. September 2009 we had a gathering and they had great rates, nice rooms and the elk graze on the golf course right behind it! Let us pull a BBQ truck in and had a group dinner one night, probably 40 or more bikes, some trailers and the usual.

Nice folks! AMERICAN OWNED!

Default Estes Park Cottages

We spent the fourth of July weekend at Whispering Pines Cottages. These are located on the Hwy 34 (big thompson canyon) 1 mile east of Estes.

We have also stayed at Shellys Cottages located about 3 miles east of Lyons and about 18 miles from Estes on hwy7.

I would recommend both. They both have websites.

If you are looking for great rides around Estes Park, we enjoy riding Trailridge trail in the rocky mountain national park and also peak to peak from Estes to Golden.

Great riding.

Good Luck, that is the most expensive place I have ever traveled. Pretty but expensive. Salida, Co is a close second on pricing.
