Las Vegas Ride Suggestions
My cousin and I will be in vegas over July 4th celebrating his 40th birthday, and we plan to rent Harley's and ride for the day. I have done lots of research, and many of the rides seem to be kept secret by the ride organizers. We have about 5 hours to ride, and are not interested in paid group rides. Can someone please give me some details on the following rides, and include any I missed. Roads and directions would be SWEET, we will be staying on the strip.
1. Red Rock Canyon
2. Lake Mead South Shores
3. Valley of Fire
4. Hoover Dam
Any feedback would be great, we will ride on Friday 7/2.

Check out this website http://www.lasvegasharleydavidson.co...pg=sightseeing. They have ride maps posted to download. There are parts of the road at Lake Mead (mile marker 21 to 48) that are under construction and not biker friendly. With the heat (109 today) Mt Charleston is not a bad idea, when you come off of Mt Charleston you can go through Red Rock heading back to drop off your bike. Be safe.

Seriously, if all you have is 5 hours, get on 95N towards Reno and go up to Mt. Charleston. I don't think you can get in ANY of the other rides in that time with the exception of Red Rock Canyon and the Charleston ride will give you better views PLUS get you up in the elevations out of the oven for a bit.
And call them in advance and get the GPS. Nothing worse then not knowing where you are or where your going and only 5 hours to get it all right.
Enjoy...
