Your walking routine is the best excercise for stamina and agility. Some stomach crunches done right will provide extra back support. Your walking is working your midsection. Some streching excercise especially a few different yoga streches will provide flexibility.
All day rides before heading out to Sturgis will clue you in to any discomfort and give you oppourtunity to remedy.

I pop a couple of ibuprofen at the beginning and end of the day during long riding days. I also take 5-10 minutes to stretch at the beginning and end of the day. Keep well hydrated with a hydration pack and eat light during the day. Sunscreen on exposed skin.

The older I get, the more this routine makes for a more comfortable day.

I'm 61 and I exercise daily. I agree, sit ups are really good and doing stretches are good. It certainly makes for a better ride for me as I have a bad back.

Percocet or Vicodin works wonders after that long ride.....I always get a room with a hot tub for my back

I ride a bicycle 150 -200 miles a week for exercise. Putting lots of miles on your m/c is the best way to get used to putting on lots of miles.

Man I dunno, Im 62, 509 165 ride every day all year , commute to work, take trips on my midweek weekends, do about 25,000 a year with at least 2 long trips a year 4-5000m and I dont exercise.Dont get tired . dont stretch and drink a few beers most nights. Tow a little camper for sleeping in , sometimes 2 up. Shower at campsites. Maybe I am not old enough for this question.
