Nothing is for you to avoid, except the flat, hot and boring road.

I hear ya. Planning on trying to run it early mornin.
Just the quickest way from point A to point B. Was
caught in 107* for a couple hours a few years ago
coming from Devils Tower. Some women didn't do so
well.
Looks like there might be plenty of gas and go
stops along the way. Any unique food stops?

Thanks, Jim

Mona's in Elko will get you in trouble if you got the wife along!

It is about 300 miles across NV. You can do it about 5 hours. There are towns about every 30-60 miles and they all have gas, food and most have lodging, and casinos. The winners Casino in Winnemucca is pretty good, there are some cool places in Elko. My suggestion is ride 80 early in the day or late. Early the sun is right in your eyes, and the night time temps drop off pretty fast, remember you are in the desert.

Googled, I found 3, Biltoki, Star Hotel and Toki Ona.
Can't say I'm familiar with basque but might be some-
thing different. Long as it's not raw or has eyeballs .
I did kinda like the menu at Mona's but, .

The Star Hotel is the one, you can park across the street from Mona's.

Route 50 is a bit better with a little more scenery if you can make time. It is a hot ride though.
