Heading south on the PCH from Whidbey Island to San Francisco. Looking at an overnight stop in Rockaway Beach or Cannon Beach on Oregon's west coast. Anyone here have a preference or other recommendation?

Any insight appreciated.

 

As far as restaurants much more options at Cannon Beach. Check out Bill's Brew Pub, good food and good micro-beers (got this tip from a resident expert!). Lodging is kind of a toss-up, would check internet and see what is available. This is now summer on the Oregon Coast so prices will be higher and availability less. Good luck and ride safe, a great route indeed!

 

Its a little south of what you are looking at but the Historic Anchor Inn in Lincoln City. NIce rooms big rooms that are like mini apartments, in the morning they serve a homemade breakfast, all for I think $75. The old lady and I stayed there during our CC ride and it felt like home and not a fleabag motel. Plus theres a bar 100 ft down the road

 

In North Bend the Pancake Mill is a good lunch stop. It's at the south end of town on the right just past the Saw Shop.
