Default Three Twisted Sisters

I just got back from an amazing ride (for me). Some friends and I rode to Austin for the R.O.T. Rally but never made it. We took a 500 mile ride to and from the Three Twisted Sisters in Leakey, Fredricksburg, Camp Wood, The sisters are made up of Ranch roads 335, 336, and 337. Lots of nice twists, turns, ups and downs. This was my first experience with this type of terrain so I know it may sound corney to some of y'all dedicated riders but for me, WOW!!! Shared the ride with some good company too. Stopped off for a nice swim in some cool, clear water (swimming trunks were worn) there was not a Wild Hogs moment.... Anyhow, the little store on the corner of Texas hwy 41 and U.S. hwy 83 has good venison jerky too, fyi. If you want some different riding and some nice scenery, this is one good TEXAS spot. In all, from Houston and back we clocked about 950 miles. Not bad for me.

I love that area...we're actually heading that way on Friday morning. It's always been one of my favorites!

We try to get down there with the Chapter once a year.. This year we did a few water crossings with all the rain. Great ride the sisters are.. did you see Stonehenge? That's pretty cool and not too far off the path..

Love that area. It's a once a year trip. Also, 16 south from Kerrville to Bandera is nice. And has nice watering holes and lodging.
