Default EZPASS and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge

I commute from Centreville Md to Ellicott City and am having a hard time getting my ezpass to read through the Bay Bridge. I have tried putting it in my teeth, in my backpack (with mesh pocket), even stopping at the toll booth and waving it in the air. None of this has worked.

Anyone else out there commute over the baby bridge and get their EZPASS to work? HOw???

I'd suggest stopping by the EZPass office and swapping it for a new one.
Mine goes through all the booths from the Chesapeake Expressway, Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel, and everywhere in Maryland right often and I have never had a problem with it.

But on the Bay Bridge there's a bit of a delay (just a second or two) before it gets "read" compared to the other booths I use it on. The Chesapeake Expressway is 45mph through the EZPass lane so I know it's not my transponder causing the delay. That's got to be the readers on the Bay Bridge.

Sounds like you need a replacement. I had one go bad a couple of years back.

The weird thing is ...it works fine in my car. Just I can't get it read when riding my bike

Try securing it to the top inside of your bag. You might have to try both bags to find which one reads the best. For me the inside of my left bag works every time. Strange how it does not record when it is in the right bag.

Default no bag to store it in

Today on my way home from work I pulled it out of my shirt pocket and held it right out in front of me........it worked! Not too safe but I finally got it to work. Maybe I will just need to get a windshield and velcro it to that :-)
