I went last year for the first time. Most emotional ride Ive ever been part of. I was never in the service but I consider my self as patriotic as anyone and I did it to support those who served and are serving this great country because without them we cant enjoy any of this we do.
Like I said..very emotional, after leaving Ft Washington to go to DC people are lined up along the road to show support, they bring coolers and lawn chairs...so cool.
I would suggest go to Ft Washington and ride from there into DC then peel off around 17th street and watch it to see what goes on. Dont want to ruin a great day with Jr because it was to hot or the bike overheated. After watching and you think you want to be part of come back next year. Just my $.02

Pentagon Time
Yes sir...0700 would be a good time ~~ anywhere 0600 on works. The ride commences at 1200 so if you arrive at 0700, you should figure on starting engine about 1330 or so [WAG based on previous years...]. Prepare, prepare, and prepare some more. We have beach chairs and a cooler that strap on the sissy bar and luggage rack. It is supposed to be a fairly warm Spring day. We carry water, juice, smokes, sun screen, hats, and rain gear...ya just never know!
