Default DFW to Sturgis

Anyone thinking about riding to Sturgis? My buddy is telling me to just ship my bike and ride when I get there, but I was curious about how many people go and how long the trip would be.

I don't know how far from Sturgis you live, but my wife and I are riding out to Sturgis this year for the first time. We have an 07 Heritage and live in the Raleigh NC area. It should be a little over 1700 miles out there. Half the fun is the ride there and back.

Rode mine to Sturgis from wichita ks., through boulder colo., then a piece of mont., to get there, then through the bad lands to get back. If you can't ride it there don't ride it when you get there...

It is just under 1100 miles from DFW to Sturgis. 1 day is tough, 2 days ain't too bad and 3 days is easy. I wouldn't go if I couldn't ride there and back...

Default Ride

I am riding from Houston and meeting up with folks in Dallas. From the feedback I have gotten there are a lot of people riding up from TX.

I'm putting my bike in the back of my pickup and driving up to Spokane, WA (from Las Vegas where I live) to meet up with some people. I'll be biking it from there. It's about 900 miles each way. I'd ride the whole leg, but I have a time frame for the whole trip. I want to maximize the time in Sturgis...
