Jackson, Wy Lodging

I'd gladly spend a month there before I spent a night in Jackson.
Pinedale is the reald deal. Great place. I had a friend who used to teach in the school down there. My wife and I used to visit and always had a great time. The whole town is good people.
Pinedale is the real west. Jackson is what the flatlanders want the west to be.

+1 on the Anvil... it's not that bad price wise if you get a spot early. we stayed there on the way to Sturgis and I don't think it was more than 120. And, like the other guy said earlier, its an easy walk to everything you want to see and do.
If you want to splurge... get a room at the White Buffalo Club! I lucked out and had a client that got a room for us there that had 3 bedrooms, a huge bar and kitchen with flat screens everywhere you turned! I don't have a clue what the prices are but I can tell you it is a pretty sweet place to lay your head... beds are some of the best I've slept in.

Jackson is a great place to visit for sure, and if you don't mind the price it's a great place to stay. If you don't mind a little 30 minute, extremely beautiful ride, there are 2 alternatives that are cheaper. About 30 miles south is the little community of Alpine Junction, Wyoming. The scenery is about the same and the town is fantastic. The night life is not a great as Jackson, but there is some night life there. To the west of Jackson over an incredible pass is Victor Idaho, another smaller town, but a great place to stay. You won't go wrong with either place, but if you don't mind the extra $$, just stay in Jackson.
