"Oh I got a helmet alright. I got a beauty!"

What an awesome link - thanks! Do you think Karen Black is still available for the ride?

I think I'd push karen black off the back of the bike. She's a bit annoying. But toni Basil? I'd ride that.

I'd love to do that whole route someday! I did part of Rout 66 a few months ago. Here's my pictures, http://williamacarr.smugmug.com/Road...10974467_FLtyo

Here's so more facts from the movie....
Some of the weird lighting effects in the LSD scene came from a can of film was accidentally exposed when it was opened

2 little old ladies in LA made the Captain America Jacket..it was auctions off after the movie

four police bikes were customized for the film. (Bought from LA police dept) One burned during filming, and the other three were stolen before filming was completed. The bikes were 1962 1200's.
Harley wouldn't give them bikes because of the "outlaw image" ha ha ha

Fonda was an experienced motorcycle rider and the bike he rides in the movie is seriously stretched and raked with Apes. Hopper was not therefore his bike is less radically chopped.

Fonda was pulled over serveral times because of the flag on the jacket

The New Orleans cemetery is St. Louis #1, a Catholic cemetery and they were not allowed to film in there, but did anyway

Phil Spector..was the cocaine dealer....What a surprise

Jack Nicolson broke Fondas Ribs when riding with him. Squezzzzzzed his legs so hard...
The swimming scene you do not see them filmed together..legs only, he was in the hospital
they shot fonda footage a few weeks later

I'm also thinking of doing some of the route

Later Later
