5 day Trip Ohio to Maine Is this enough time
Just as the title says I am planning the bike trip that my Dad and I take every year. We have been south to the Blue Ridge the last few years and it is beautiful but would like to try something different. I have always wanted to visit Maine. I only have 5 days since that is all the time I can get off work, Is this enough to have an enjoyable trip going from Ohio to Maine? Are there any reccomendations on routes to take. The Trip in May 19th-23rd, how is the weather there. If this is not really doable does anyone have a suggestioin for a cool 5 day trip leaving from Ohio. Thanks in advance for any help.

Roughly 1100 miles to the far side of Maine from where you are. That means two 400/500 mile days will put you somewhere in Maine, leave you a day to wander around, & two more 400/500 mile days back. You have to decide where in Maine you want to go & how you want to get there. Two lane back roads, or Interstate.

Yeah I thingk Maine might be a bit ambitious although 400 to 500 mile days do not bother us, I ride an Ultra and Dad a Goldwing. However my problem persists I want a fun enjoyable 5 day trip starting from Ohio. We are like everyone else and like good scenery and good roads. I don not mind riding superslab if it is getting me somewhere good to ride but otherwise i am like everyone else and prefer the scenic route. Any ideas?
Thanks

Did that 2yrs ago Canton Oh to Portland Maine did 800 miles 1st day. Rode from 5am to 9pm 1st day, then to Portland 2nd day late lunch on the water and rode back inland for the night rode around Vermont, Mass, Pa 3rd day, 4th day rode to York Pa. stayed the night and did the HD plant tour 5th day in the am and rode home, got home about 8pm. It is doable if you want to ride. If you want to sightsee and do alot of stops it won't work. About half of the 2200 miles was on the highway
