Default Laughlin River Run

Hi folks, a couple of us from Scotland are planning a trip to this event.
Any advice on best place to fly into, bike hire, weather, other places to visit etc. We plan on coming over for two weeks, any help would be great.

best place for you would probably be to fly into phoenix. Rent from a HD dealer there and ride up to laughlin. If you want a shorter ride fly into Las Vegas. There's a ton of things to see in the area including some nice parts of RT66/ Grand Canyon/Death Valley/ Monument Valley / depends on the weather it still may be a bit cold in the higher elevations though. But the desert in the spring will be beautiful this year with all the rain they've been getting.

Two weeks gives you a lot of options. How far do you want to ride and how much do you want to see. You could easily start from anywhere on the west coast from San Diego to San Francisco and have plenty of time to ride and see the sights and still have time to get to Laughlin and back.

In the area, there's the Oatman to Kingman via Route 66. It's pretty cool, once you clear Oatman. Alot of bikes to deal with, however, once you head toward Kingman, noone. Nice. There's the London Bridge at Lake Havasu, The Dam, lots to see within a short ride from Laughlin..
