Deadwood

You can see everything there is to see in Deadwood in a half a day, however like others have mentioned there is lots to see in that area, Needles hwy, Bad Lands, Custer National Park, Mt Rusmore, and lots of great riding roads. To see what I've metioned you'll probably want at least 3-4 days in the area. I would try to camp closer to Rapid City to be more central to the sights. I camped at Rafter J Bar Ranch which is real close to Mt Rusmore.

Not much to see in Deadwood but Casinos. You can go to Mile High Cemetery, but I would recommend the trolley over the scoot. I did it on a Softail Custom and it is straight up. I would not do it on my Street Glide. Saloon #10 is OK, but it's not the original place that Wild Bill was shot, that's up the street.
Personally I think you could do it all in one day easy, unless you want to do some of the runs like Spearfish Canyon, the Pigtails, Mt. Rushmore.
To me, there is more to see outside of Deadwood than in it.

Agreed - we saw what we wanted to see in Deadwood in a day. But Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish, and Devils Tower are all in close riding distance, they are worth a couple days. If I were doing it for the first time and hitting the areas around there I would spend 2 to 3 days - If just Deadwood it would be an overnighter.
