Thanks guys I appreciate the advice . Nickel that's what I was looking for,to place myself in the middle of the sites .

Agreed - we saw what we wanted to see in Deadwood in a day. But Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Spearfish, and Devils Tower are all in close riding distance, they are worth a couple days. If I were doing it for the first time and hitting the areas around there I would spend 2 to 3 days - If just Deadwood it would be an overnighter.
