Default Sturgis, 2010, First time there

We are going to Sturgis in 2010 for the first time. We have hotel reservations already. Has anyone shipped clothes, gear, etc. to the hotel instead of hauling a trailer behind their bike. I would rather only ride two-up without towing a trailer if possible. Opinions? Experiences? Thanks.

Actually, it's very common for those who choose to ride to ship their stuff. Probably easiest to ship to Rapid City but you have tons of options.

Assuming you're going to ride out, you'll probably need the gear you'd be shipping unless you need to take a tux or something like that.

Not to be a smarta--, but they have laundry facilities in that part of the country...no need to pack more then two days worth of clothes.

I always send it UPS a few days before I leave addressed to myself as a guest wherever I'm staying. Also do a return label and put it in the box ur sending at the same time so that at the end of the week I just retape the box with the return label and UPS picks it back up at the front desk when I call for a pickup...

I'm going for the first time in 2010... I've booked in Keystone, which is 50+ miles from Sturgis. Anyone have any thoughts on staying here? There were some rooms in Sturgis/Deadwood, but the prices are ridiculous, and my lady friend is not about to stay at a campground.

Rapid City is only 28 miles away and looks like it would have a lot more choices for places to stay.
