Baja peninsula

when are you thinking of going?
We have to ride it someday too. This year we are looking at Florida, but southern Baja is close to home.
I know there are the Baja Bikers down south, and they have a website. Saw a group of mixed riders one Sunday morning in La Paz last winter, heading out.
Also look on youtube at riding the Baja. There is a good video on there.
Keep me up informed on what you find out about the ride.

Depends on what you consider safe.
I've been spending time (weekends / vacations) on the west coast of Baja since I was a little kid. I now go to Mexicali for work, spending 1 to 2 nights at a time.
These days I don't feel safe down there as I used to.
Had a jeep stolen a few years back while staying in a gated resort in Ensenada. Jeep turned up in Santa Rosalia. Drove down there to get it from the local law. Felt unsafe with the law. We took cash 'cause we know how it works down there, but they were trying to get more out of us.
Ended up driving back without jeep and did not feel easy at all driving back across the desert to the west coast.
Beautiful country. Would be awesome to ride all around baja, if it were in the USA.
If I wanted to ride baja, I'd find some established tour to do it.
