Sounds like a great ride!
But, if it was me, I'd make a couple major changes.
One big reason: The weather in Utah and Nevada and southern CA in July will be HOT! Expect daytime temps to be well over 100.
If it was me, after Yellowstone, I'd head more northerly to the Oregon coast, then follow the coast all the way down to southern CA. It will be 20 to 30 degrees cooler along the coast than it will be inland, and the Oregon/CA coast if beautiful! Highway 1 in CA has some of the best ocean scenery of anyplace in the world.
But that's just me, I don't enjoy riding nearly as much when the temps get over 100. I'd much rather add a layer to stay warm on a cool ride than have to dump water on myself to stay cool on a hot day..
Whatever you decide have fun!

We are used to over 100 in Western Australia ... summer days riding are regularly up to 105, but granted cooler is a more comfortable ride temp.
Maybe next trip back to the US (2013) we can take in Oregon and the CA coast roads which I believe are a great ride.
With the severe weather across the US at the moment I will be happy to have 100 temps rather than the rain you guys have right now.
Fingers are all crossed down under that the weather fines by early July
