Hey Aussie, looks like you guys will have an awesome trip!

If it were me (goddamnit, why isn't it me?) I would book it to Vegas from Zion, ride through Death Valley, head up 395 to Yosemite, shoot across central California to Monterey and coast down the Pacific Coast Hwy into Los Angeles.

You'd have to give up Grand Canyon, Laughlin and Havasu, though.

Something to chew on while you're counting down the days

Oh, and what bike will you be renting?

Thanks micahpop Yeh good suggestions ... problem is there are sooo many good suggestions and we have only so many weeks to fit it all in.

Re Bikes ... we were renting Street Glides but having just ridden one at my local HD dealership last weekend the wind buffeting of your helmet (and therefore) head at highway speeds is a killer. Eaglerider won't install higher wind deflectors which would solve the problem (we are all 6 ' tall +) so will probably need to go to an Electra Glide me thinks.

Just found this thread and will revive it TTT.
If you are still planning on making it into Canada, the 400 Series are superslabs.
As your trip gets closer, and your still coming this way, send me a pm.
Would be honoured to meet you in Sarnia.
I'm only 15 miles away.

Didn't mean to blow off your question - just saw this.
It's a 2009 Rocker C with the Heartland kit.

With such choices as the entirety of the beautiful US of A how could you go wrong! LOL

You will really enjoy it here. Hopefully your ferry ride across Lake Michigan finds the lake on a tame day. :

Our great nation has been wracked with rain and rainstorms all over so hopefully everything ceases once you hit the road. It probably and usually does, but [color=red] bring your raingear (from head to foot), your camera, and LOTS of film!

Y'all have a fantastic ride.....

g'day!
