Enjoy your trip I have heard it is one you will not forget. Get those chaps out and leather jacket, the tree should be changing about now.

Default Season of change

When I left near Grandfather Mtn. Sunday (9-13), it was 46 degrees at 8:30 am. I got a little uncomfortable, but when I returned around 1 pm, it was in the mid 70's. It has been warmer the rest of this week, but it won't be long til frost at 3600 ft. and up. Be prepared, fall is upon us, the temps will get lower from here on out.
