I've been thinking about heading to Saratoga Springs this weekend and I am wondering about the roads and entertainment, restuarants places to stay etc. Any input would be greatly appreciated - Thank You.

 

Lots of great roads around there as you are in the foothills of the Adirondacks. Shoot up to Lake George and follow Rte 9N over Tongue Mt then Rte 8 around Brandt Lake then back down Rte 9 to Lake George and you'll have a good ride.

Olde Bryan Inn in the 'Toga is a great place to eat so is Log Jam in Lake George.

29 west to 30 north. Go thru Speculator, Indian Lake and Long Lake. Head east on 28n then pick up 9 to take you thru Lake George and back to Saratoga Springs. You could also pick up 9n at Lake George and go thru Lake Luzerne and Corinth on the way to S. Springs. You won't have a problem finding a place to eat..............

 

Is it still horse racing season up there? Also, a holiday weekend. Better call ahead to try to find a room, if you're staying overnight somewhere --- unless you're heading up the road, and not staying near Saratoga Springs. Great riding north of there also.
