#31
Well, everything I can think of is checked and ready. Went thru the bike; checked torque on main components, 36f/40r tire pressures, shocks adjusted, fluids checked, rain gear and cover set, warm clothes set, all packed and ready to roll.
Tomorrow 1P EST the adventure begins!!
Thanks again all for the great info, will post pics and "report" upon return.

Got back home Friday, safe and sound, all good. Put in 2663.1 miles we did Maggie Valley, Gatlinburg, Waynesville, Cherokee, Canton, Ashville and the Parkway. Definitively "God's country"!
The Microtel at Maggie Valley was excellent and also the Switzerland Inn next to the BRP was super nice.
Amazing how the weather conditions change by the minute while on the higher elevations; sun, overcast, mist, rain, fog! Also 'kinda surprised by the large amount of deer close to or on the road mostly on the Virginia side.
All in all a wonderful trip, 2663 miles, friendly folks and 497 photos to which I'll post a link as soon as I catch up and get some free time.
