On August 13th I took off for a quick four day solo trip around California. I road all day through some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth and pitched my tent where ever I ended up every night. The first day I road up the coast to Big Sur. All of the campgrounds were full but I was lucky enough to meet another solo rider on the road that had a camp site that he was willing to share. He is a pilot for UPS and knows a pilot that also flies for UPS that I used to fly with. Small world! The next day Bob and I road through Big Sur and continued inland to ride all the way across Yosemite to the east side of the Sierras. From there we split up, Bob going to June Lake and me going to Bishop. I ended up pitching my tent just outside of Bishop after spending 13 hours on the bike. Boy did I sleep good that night! On day three I road down to the San Gabriel Mountains to hook up with my friend Steve in Buck Horn campground near Wrightwood. I sure did enjoy Steve's cooking after living on MRE's the last few nights! Day 4 I had brakefast in Wrightwood then a quick ride home. Click here to see my pictures.
