Yes....I'm too new to recommend anything for ya. I have heard about other people going for rides on those routes. We also plan on making a trek up to Brown County, we like that area too. My other bike was to small for very long distances but I solved that problem today. Only problem is, I feel like I own a 'Show Bike' now and treating it with the 'white glove' treatment........
Brown County is nice too and we go there more often since it is closer. When you go to Brown County make sure you do 135 south of Nashville and stop at the Story Inn (restaurant/bar) in Story. Basement is burgers and beer, and the upstairs is a little nicer.
Ended up making reservations at the Two Wheel Inn. Robbinsville looked more central to most of the rides we were thinking about. We are definately gonna check out places for our 2nd trip, especially around Maggie Valley. Will pass on our experience with TWI once we return.

More restaurants and motels in the Maggie Valley/Waynesville area. Close to the best part of the BRP. Also near other great roads like 276, 215, 209, 107, and 441.
Hey Ozone, did you stay at the abby? If so is it a decent place to stay? Thinking about running down there for a day or two next week.
No we ended up renting a cabin for a week. I did ride by Abbey Inn and it is up the hill from Maggie Valley past Ghost Town so you have to ride a little to get to restaurants and other stuff. Mountaineer Restaurant is close by though.
