Rode up 181 from Morganton (N.C.), past Hawksbill Mtn. to Hwy. 183. I love 181, really nice sweepers and smooth asphalt, just made for testing lean angles. Stopped in the parking lot of the linville falls and took the short hike to view the falls. Scenes of the movie THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS was filmed here. Then got on Hwy. 221 from Pineola to Blowing Rock, a scenic byway, and took a few shots of Grandfather Mtn. (S.E. side) and the Linn Cove Viaduct. Hwy. 221 was until the completion on the viaduct the detour for the BRP, and the last obstacle in the completion of the BRP, some nice twisty's. Great weather and a nice way to spend Memorial Day.

Thanks for the pic's! I sure do miss riding in NC, wish I was back there sometimes. 221 was on of my favorites. I used to just ride all over the moutains there(in my truck)
