Default 17 mile drive pebble beach ca

hi there..

on our recent road trip....we wanted to do the 17 mile drive..at pebble beach...near carmel ca..

when we approached we were told by guard that no motorcycles were allowed on here...

anyone else had the same problem...??????

Many riders have found the same issue. But it's not restricted to just that road.

There are many communities around the US that no longer "welcome" motorcycles to operate on their property.

I wonder what lead to the ban???

Yep, same here. We just came back from that area and wanted to do the 17 mile drive. Maybe it bothers the golfers or something.

It has been that way for sometime.. you have to remember, 17 mile drive is private - that is why it costs to enter. Over the years - a few bikers have runined it for the rest of us and because its a private area - thats their choice. Not like they need that $17 to live - It is a nice drive but there are a lot of other rides in the area that are just as nice. I too was put off by not being allowed in but like I said - its been that way for some time and I got over it.

Cruise highway one through Big Sur instead. Free and beautiful...

we did just that...and thoroughly enjoyed it....

one of the best roads we encountered on our trip..

been that way fro a while....its private property...so they can do what they want....nice drive in a cage though....
