Default thinking of Idaho trip

I was thinking taking a trip to Idaho and seeing the sights from Boise to Idaho Falls. Any feedback would be good. When's it to late in the year?Any particular stops to make there? This is from someone coming up from AZ. Thanks for the help. Just wana see a different part of our great United States.

Be EXTREMELY careful up around Boise. My son-in-law, who's stationed in the Air Force, and daughter both have speeding tickets on crotch rockets. I keep telling them to get rid of those and get some good ol' Harley's, but they won't listen.

Anyway, the prosecutor up there is apparently a pain in the butt.

Boise to Idaho Falls. Your best bet is probably 89 from AZ to ID. Eyeball this site:

Don't know how much time you have which makes it difficult to determine which
routes you can do. The short loop would probably be US-93 to Challis, SH-75 to
Stanley, and SH-21 to Boise.

Anything off the freeway would be good. Stanley area is good no matter what time of year. I have lived here about 20 years and I am always finding new things that I missed some where along the line.

I have ridden from Salt Lake City to Idaho Falls countless times. To get away from I 15 we often get off in Bringham City Ut. We then head up 89 to Logan. Then take 91 out of Logan into Idaho passed some smaller communities. It beats I 15 I think if you got time to wander. I havent been in years, but around McCammon Id there is a Hot Spring. Iam told its been remodeled and not to bad to relax at in the fall. I cant imagine it being fun this time of year. Heres a link to it.

Default thanks for the input

Thanks for all the input. I'm looking at possibly heading up the ID possibly in sept. Actually gonna be flying into Boise and staying in the state from 7-10 days. Looking at renting a scoot.

If you are a national HOG member you can rent a bike thru the fly and ride program out of Garden City(Boise) ID for a $100 bucks a day or $600 for a 7 day period. Its a good deal if you have set plans and can book it out ahead of time, it has worked really well for me in different places, last one being Anchorage, Alaska. You also receive a fly and ride pin from
Harley with the location if you are into that.

We just did this ride last Saturday and rode from Boise, ID from western, OR up Hwy 21 to Stanley then up Hwy 75 which turns into Hwy 93 up to Salmon and then down Hwy 28 to Idaho Falls and into Jackson, WY. The ride up to Salmon was very scenic and a great ride along the river. We were in a little bit of a hurry but you could spend a lot of time along the northern route and if you had time you could whitewater raft of go fishing.

Enjoy your trip and keep us posted.
