There is an awesome stretch of road in Northern Michigan on the Lake Michigan Lakeshore from Good Heart to Harbor Springs. M119 called the "Tunnel of Trees".

Just went through there. Unfortunately it rained the entire distance. Don't miss the restaurant at Cross Village.

 

Even better ride in the Fall when trees are in full color...

 

Legs Inn Cross Village www.legsinn.com A polish quisine restaurant, but has lots of other very nice food. We go there a couple of times each summer. The ride down M119 is great in the fall, watch for wet leaves, go midweek if you can, fewer cages.

We are going to take a trip this August from MN across WI and up through the UP. Back down over the Mackinaw bridge, and then follow the coast south and across the ferry at Ludington.

 

I went thru that last summer, pretty cool.
