If you have a little extra time I'd recommend Das Hutte in Helvetia. Swiss food to die for! Most everything is home made including the sausage, sour kraut, bread, and locally made cheese. I really like their slow cooked chicken which they simmer in spices. It just falls off the bone. They have sandwiches and soup too.
Once when I was there I looked in the open door to the kitchen. The cook (must be 75 years old) was stirring some stew in a kettle. She opened a long neck Budweiser, poured about half in the kettle then drank the rest in one motion, as if she'd done it many times before!
Helvetia is SW of Elkins (almost directly west of Huttonsville). You can ride there coming from 33 (west of Elkins) I can't recall the names of the roads you take but you'll go through Norton, Coalton, Cassity,Adolf, then Helvetia.

Right In Elkins....... The local 'greasy Spoon' Scotties just relocated to downstairs in one of the new hotels, the there's a couple of good places right downtown....'Beaners' for one, and theres another place over near the trainstation, I think it's call 'C.J.' ????? All pretty decent places. This coming weekend there will be close to 600 antigue cars in Elkins for the Annual fourth of July weekend cruise in and Shiow. Friday night downtown then Saturday and Sunday in the City Park. A very nice event if you're in the area.

Thanks for the replies!
Didn't know about the car show--that would be something to see.
41inWV--like those rides you have there. I am in the process of bringing back a `53 chevy truck. Been working on it now almost 6 years. Had I known how much it was going to cost I woulda crushed the thing.
