Tampa-Daytona-Keys-Tampa Trip
Me and a friend are planning a trip next Feb/March, see below.
We plan to keep off the interstates as much as possible and also it would be great to stay/eat in non-chain establishments.
Each day will be at a steady pace, trying to take in as much as possible with plenty of stops.
At this time nothing is cast in stone and if anybody here has some suggestions to make the trip more enjoyable please post.
Day 1 - Tampa to Daytona
Day 2/3 - Time at Bike week
Day 4 - Daytona to Fort Lauderdale via Hwy 1
Day 5 - Fort Lauderdale to Key West
Day 6/7 - Time in the Keys
Day 8 - Keys to Naples via Hwy 41
Day 9 - Naples to Tampa via Hwy 41

From Tampa to Daytona would suggest going Hwy 41 North to Hwy 40 East into Ormond Beach Once North of Tampa is a nice scenic ride without too much traffic other a short stretch through Ocala once east of Silver Springs the stretch through Hwy 40 through the Ocala forest is very nice .. Just my opinion here and lived in Florida all my life...

Looking for some more info at places to see around the Fort Lauderdale area.
If there is a somewhere good to visit/stay at before before there then please post, you know back to 'old town USA', to many cities/towns are becoming the same
I know we are taking a popular route but there must be some of these 'special' places still left.
