Anywhere within 45 mins of Cody will be nice country. You'll have a great time.
There's also plenty good riding.
I *strongly* suggest heading south through Thermopolis (stop for a soak!) and on to Shoshoni and/or Lander on the Wind River res. Then head NW towards Dubois. This will take you along the Wind River Range (very scenic mountains) and into Moran Junction in Grand Teton NP. From there you can turn south to Jackson (for teh most expensive lunch of your life--until you go to Tokyo) or north along the Tetons and into Yellowstone NP. From there you can work out the east entrance and return to Cody. This is a full-day ride. Head out early, and plan to return late. But, it's a big loop, as they are in the west, and the Sturgis set will never see it, and they won't even know what they will have missed. You'll get the full range of Wyoming on that ride. I do it once a year, though I ride from home (Bozeman) to Lander where I have a friend.
Another ride is to head N out of Cody and pick up the Chief Joseph Hwy, which hits the Beartooth Hwy. Have lunch in Red Lodge, MT and return the way you came. The Beartooth Hwy is popular. You'll read lots about it here.
Or head east out of Cody through the high plains towards the Bighorns. Two routes over the Bighorns, US 14 and US 16. Both are great rides. Go over on one, and return on the other. If you fly fish, there is some *excellent* small stream high mountain fishing in the Bighorns, right off the side of the road! And if you like geology, there are huge pre-Cambrian scarps in the Bighorns, too (pre-Cambrian rock is older than life, literally). Of course, Yellowstone has innumerable geological wonders, too.
If you have any more questions, especially detailed questions about the Park, just ask.
