Thanx Terry.... I hit a lil rain on the ride home....one side of the mountain was raining, other side was dry. I had no idea you have ridden them roads. Maybe next time there is a big get together I'll PM you an invite.

Had a brother in Winston Salem, N.C. Used to ride from Illinois to Cincy to W.Va then the turnpike to Rt. 52 (Fancy Gap) and then down the mountain in to Mt. Airy and on to Winston Salem. Did the BRP back about 20 years ago.
Fancy Gap is where Otis went to buy Moonshine when Barney destroyed the still. Pilot Mt. State Park was actually Mt. Pilot on the old show and Mt. Airy is actually Mayberry. My whole family is from the South.

The Southern part of the BRP is the best IMO. Between Asheville & Cherokee. It has the highest elevations, a shitload of tunnels & the best twisties too!
