We are planning a trip to circle Lake Michigan in late June (from central Indiana). I have the route pretty well planned but am looking for a recommendation on a place to stay in Door county Wisconsin. I am not the bed-and-breakfast type but don't want a $$$$$ resort either. Any suggestions?

 

Sturgeon Bay has a few chain hotels, google Sturgeon Bay hotels, the Best Western Maritime inn is nice, if you want to stay further north on the Door try Sister Bay or Ephraim they have more mom and pop motels.

 

If you are riding up into Door County I would highly recommend staying in Fish Creek. Great place to just park the bike and walk - lots of Mom & Pop hotels right downtown, just Google it. Grab a fish boil at the White Gull Inn or Pelletiers while you're there - delicious!
