Thanks stillwater, your advice has changed the number of days we're going to stay. Looking at that cowboy trail (Hwy 22) all the way up to Banff,AB, looks like an excellent trip. If I can talk my brother into it, would love to see the ice fields, To be honest have to see how our finances are doing. Might actually take a break from the bikes and ride one of those odd looking buses.

 

Did not really know whether to start a new thread are just add to this one. Since I originally started here asking questions about Canada my thinking was just too stay with this one thread. Anyway we have a slight change of plans. Were going to add about three more weeks to our trip. We decided to head up the Alaskan highway to Fairbanks. And hopefully make it back down to the rally in Calgary. The milepost magazine is definitely a must when planning a trip like this. There’s no way of knowing where we going to be each day, the first few days we’re going to push it pretty hard. Leaving the 28th of July which is a Tuesday from Picayune Ms. We have both done Sturgis but we plan on passing through to see some old friends. Going to try to make it to Calgary by July 31st. I realize this is one helluva stretch but there are only two of us, and we both loved to ride. from there we are just going to play it by ear. Were going to bring camping gear but do plan on staying in a clean room every now and then. Looking forward for this experience, will try to get back on line and leave updates.
