Dath Valley

coming from up north, it will feel like someone poured a gallon of gas on your face and lit it on fire. besides that, it's a cool ride.
My wife put it this way : The next time I want to have this feeling I go to the bathroom and spot three hairdryers at full temperature at my entire body for three hours.

I went through Death Valley at the end of April. I would do it again, no problem. I stayed the night at a camp ground up in the mountains just below Death Valley Ranch.
I went up toward Yosemite and all of the passes were closed going up until I got across Monitor Pass over to Lake Tahoe and stayed there for the night. I tried to go across the mountains again to Jackson on May 1st but got caught in a bad snow storm and had to turn around half way and go back to US 50 around through Sacramento. Yosemite was good when I finally got there.
The canyons were great.
Alberta is nice! Watch out for the brown bears around Banff.

We give the bears a little room. We live just outside Jasper Park in Alberta. There are lots of black bear and grizzly bears here. We live out of town and there is a black bear that dens up on the other side of a hill by our place, it's nice to see him on the hillside eating. You have some fantastic pics ironheaddave, keep posting them!!!
