Suggestions about interesting day trips around Las Vegas
Hi,
I´m from Germany and i will stay in march in Las Vegas. I will rent a bike from eagle riders for 7 days and therefore I need infos about interesting day trips around L.V.
What do you think it´s worth to see? and what should we drop? I want to see the monument valley. But I think it is too far away. Which iss the best place to see the grand canyon? The north rin, south rim ...
Thanx for your help
Best regards

Thanks, IronheadDave, very nice pictures ...
But I thinks that some destinations are too far away from Las Vegas, if you want to come back in the evening ...
I think, I will do the following trips.
1) Death Valley,
2) Red Rock Canyon
3) Zion N.P. (about 300 miles),
4) Grand Canyon, north rim,
5) What's about Area 51 ???? What can you see there??? Ufos?
6) going south via Hoover Damm to bullhead

Valley of Fire
Check out the Valley of Fire about 30 miles north of Las Vegas. You can ride through it, check out some back roads, come along Lake Mead, and meander your way back to Hoover Dam and in to Las Vegas.
Zion National Park is about a 4-5 hour ride away. You can take I-15 up past St. George, Utah to get to the exit, and then you have some back roads to get into the park. Honestly, the drive up there didn't seem spectacular to me. When I visited (as with every time I visit Utah), the sky opened up and snowed all over the place.
