Default Daytona Bike week

I want to do a 1 day ride to bike week I live about 3 hours away. Anyone have suggestions on how to get to festivities but avoid the gridlock. I'd like to park and the edge and walk in a mile or so, is this possible?

I usually leave the Tampa area about 6:30 AM and get to Main Street at about 9:30 AM. No problem parking then. After around 10:30 or 11 forget it the place is packed an no place to park on Main Street. I stay there for about 4 hours then leave to go to the Iron Horse or Rosemyers.

Cool easy parking

I ride down from jacksonville, some times takes me three hours.
parking near the festivities isnt too bad, the local churches offer parking for around five bucks and watch your bike while your there!!! just turn down the roads before the mayhem and find ya one of their tents set up.

As others have mentioned the parking is easy to find, I usually will just pay for a spot to park on Main Street. If you park in on that is off a side street then it's always easy to slip out. My advice is head up to Rossmeyers early in the day because the traffic backs up around that area.
