Thank you for sharing the pics and info Pastor John. This brings back memories of a motorcycle trip we took from Asheville to Blowing Rock in the early 2000's. I don't remember what year it was but I know I was riding a 1999 Road King. It was in September and the weather was beautiful. All we needed was a long sleeve shirt, even going over Mt. Mitchell. Going around a bend we found our selfs on the Linn Cove Viaduct without expecting it. Breath taking !!! It's time to do it again.

Thank you Pastor John for the great report and write-up. Plan on going down there next July '09 for a week with my friends. Thinking about going all the way down to Deal's Gap for the day too.

Ride safe,

Thorey

Wonderful report PJ.
My wife and I did a shortened version of your ride... we rode north from Raleigh to Peaks of Otter outside Beford VA. spent too little time at the D-DAY memorial, then on to lunch at the Peaks... we rode south to Jefferson NC, and stayed overnight at Shatley Springs Inn... I'd recomend the food at the Inn... but NOT the cabins...
Great photos too

Nice pics, was out there last May and plan to go back again. Its one of the best roads you can ride on with no comercial traffic for 470 miles. A Perfect biker road.

John,

Great write up. We rode part of the BRPK this summer and found it to be a very peaceful as well as beautiful ride.

One more pic here...

PJ, thanks for sharing, wife and I did the BRP about 2 weeks ago. Not as long as you. When I was there the road was closed at Craggy Pinnacle Trail, was it open for you?
